Trade weight - 22mm diameter circular lead weight with a large 'A' denoting the avoirdupois weighing system which is thought to have come into use in the 13th century and continued in use up to the 20th century. It is exactly 25 grams in weight which is lighter than the 28.4 grams it should be. The weight is slightly battered but intact and is not corroded.
