A cast copper alloy unidentifiable object, which is undatable. The object consists of a four lobed pointed terminal, with a rounded tip, 24.30mm long, from the base of which extends a circular section ‘arm’ approximately 18.70mm long. There is iron staining at the tip of the point, and at the break where the arm terminates, perhaps indicating an iron core to the object. The rest of the surface is light greyish green.

A copper alloy unidentified object - possibly a measure or scoop. The object has a rounded bowl (similar to a spoon) and a short (broken), square-sectioned handle/stem. On the reverse of the 'bowl' there what appears to be a flaw in the metal (forming a small raised hole). The break is worn and as a result of the break it is impossible to see how long the handle would have been. The object remains unidentified and undatable.

A copper alloy unidentifiable object, which is most probably late post-medieval or modern in date. The object has been formed from one solid plate of copper alloy. The plate looks pressed, suggesting a modern date. The plate is a large D-shape, which has be bent and badly damaged. The edges are badly worn and broken. The surface of the plate has been stamped in a mould resulting in the formation of a criss-cross design, inside each field there is a small floral motif. The sections of the plate that are not damaged appear to have a milled edge. The stamped design is in relief on one sur…

A cast lead unidentifiable object, of unknown date. The object has a D-shaped section which tapers from one terminal to the other terminal (which is almost like a point). The wide terminal has two blobs of lead flanking it, one either side. This object could be a fragment of waste molten lead, from the casting process.

A cast lead object, which is possibly a vessel fragment. The object is sub-rectangular in shape and there is a large knop (or knob) projecting from the top of the object. The knob could possibly be the handle for the lid of a vessel. It is possible that this object is a repair from a much larger vessel. There is a deeply incised linear line on the object, running from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock, either side of the knob. The object is concave on one surface (the one without the knob), this surface has several deep gouge marks, which could have resulted from plough damage. All breaks very w…

A cast copper alloy unidentifiable object, which is undatable. The object comprises a square frame, made up of square sectioned strips of copper alloy (with bevelled edges). Inside the outer frame there is a cross, which extends from corner to corner (also made of square sectioned strips). The design and manufacture is quite crude and irregular. On the reverse of the object there is a rounded sectioned strip of copper alloy extending from the centre of the cross. This projection is broken, the breaks looks well worn and corroded. The metal is a dark brownish-grey colour. The surface of…

A cast cooper alloy unidentifiable object, which is undatable. The object has been formed from one solid piece of copper alloy, but has three loops soldered to the surface of the main part of the object. The object is basically a cylindrical shaped tube of copper alloy, with rounded terminals. The three loops have been soldered to the surface of the cylinder approximately 2-3mm in from one of the terminals (it is unclear if this is the top of the object or the bottom). One of the loops is bent and a crack has appeared where the loop joins the main body of the object. If that loop is po…

A small unidentified object, which could possibly be some sort of pin or attachment. The object is a circular sectioned strip of copper alloy with a collar around one terminal, with a loop forming the terminal proper. The opposite end of the object has broken off and looks very worn. The shaft is slightly tapering. The ‘head’ of this pin like object has been cast as one with the shaft. The section of the shaft has been slightly squared off. The looped terminal has a copper alloy ring through it; the ring has a join which doesn't quite fit together. The shaft is broken so therefore…

A cast copper alloy unidentified object. The object is Y-shaped, with three D-sectioned arms. The vertical arm has a rounded terminal; whilst the other two appear to be broken. This is presumably a component from a larger object. The surface of the object has a few linear marks on it. The metal is a dark greyish-green colour.

A cast copper alloy unidentified object with traces of gilding. This object consists of a straight piece of cast copper alloy, 37.42mm by 8.45mm, which is triangular in section, the reverse of which is concave. One end is rounded with a terminal knop projection. The rounded end has a circular aperture (in the centre), diameter 3.52mm. Below this is a moulded, curved x, with the voids indented. A moulded line runs down the centre from the x to a moulded transverse ridge at the opposite end, below which a flattened semicircular terminal extends. This is 22.28mm by 8.59mm wide. The …

A cast copper alloy unidentifiable object, which is most probably medieval in date or modern. The object has been formed from one solid plate of copper alloy. Five holes have been drilled through the plate. There is one hole in each corner and one larger hole two-thirds of the way down one of the longer edges of the plate. There are also a number of drill marks in the surface of the plate on one side. The drill marks are basically sets of concentric rings. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The edge (which also contains the larger hole) appears to be broken, as there are two squ…

A cast copper alloy unidentifiable object, which is most probably late post-medieval in date or modern. The object has been formed from one solid pressed plate of copper alloy. This object consists of an oval piece of cast copper alloy, 34.09mm in diameter and 8.49mm thick, from the underside of which protrude two 'legs' measuring approx. 6mm in length. There is a corresponding protrusion above one of the legs on the surface of the object. The metal is extremely corroded, and of a mid greyish green in colour. It is possible that this was part of a small copper alloy pot, but due to its unidentified nature it is not possble to date it.
