A cast pewter spoon bowl. The object consists of the bowl and part of the handle of the spoon, 36.79mm in length. the handle is roughly triangular in section. The surface of the object is dark grey in colour. Approximately 5% of the bowl has corroded away, the edges are corroded and worn. This spoon probably dates to the post medieval period.

An incomplete cast pewter spoon fragment, dating from the medieval to early post-medieval period.
The bowl is badly damaged and broken, but the stem appears to be complete. Three ridges run down reverse of stem, terminating in a lobe on the reverse of the bowl.
The bowl is 43.15mm in width.
The spoon weighs 27.52g and is 97.42mm in length. The stem is 10.55mm thick.
Much of the original surface has been lost, the metal is a mid brownish-grey colour. The metal is worn and pitted.

The bowl of a pewter spoon. The spoon bowl was probably cast. This bowl was once attached to PAS database record number: SUSS-694A15. Dana Goodburn-Brown (Conservator) checked the metal contain of both objects and they both measured the same. The concave surface of the bowl is undecorated. The reverse has an elongated triangular shaped wedges running down the back of the bowl. The surface of the bowl is heavily corroded and the edges of the spoon are badly damaged and corroded. The stem of a pewter spoon. The spoon stem or handle was probably cast. The stem is flat and the edges are chamfered. It terminates with a tre-lobial design. There is an engraved line running around the edge of the spoon stem on one surface. On the reverse of the spoon there are four hallmarks. One is located behind the tre-lobial terminal. It is shield shaped and depicts a unicorn. The other three hallmarks are on the stem proper, one is square and depicts a rampart lion, the next in also square and depicts what could be a crowned crest. A lead or pewter spoon.
The spoon has a large flat, oval bowl, with a long and thin stem. The stem is of rectangular section with rounded edges. There are three ridges down the reverse of stem, resulting in the three meeting on the reverse of the bowl. The bowl is undecorated. The edges of the bowl are slightly damaged. The metal is a mid brownish-grey colour.

The bowl of a pewter or copper alloy spoon. The spoon was probably cast.
The bowl is shallow and is oval in shape, but only half of it survives and it is badly damaged.
The stem is missing. The edges of the bowl are all very worn and corroded.
The surface of the metal is very pitted and irregular.
The metal is a mid brownish-grey colour. Much of the original surface of the metal has been lost.
This spoon bowl is likely to be post-medieval or possibly modern in date.
