The fitting comprises a D-shaped strap loop, with a D-shaped section of copper alloy projection away from the flat edge of the D. The other end of the fitting terminates with a large cross, which has been decorated by incised lines, which also cross. The fragment is largely un-diagnostic because of the fact that it is so worn.
