A large cast lead token. The token is flat and circular. The obverse of the token depicts the capital letter W, with four pellets to the side of it. The lead has gone a mid brownish-grey colour. The reverse is blank. Due to a lack of excavated examples these tokens can only be loosely dated from between circa 1400 – 1850 AD.

A cast copper alloy mount or strap fitting. The mount comprises three main features, but it is unclear which way around the mount would have been positioned. The main body of the mount is oval in shape and has been decorated with incised lines, made to resemble a shell. Projecting out of the tip of this main section is a rounded knop with a circular terminal. On the other side of the main section there is some sort of attachment fitting (now broken). This appears to have once been a hook. On the reverse of this hook there is some iron corrosion. Otherwise the reverse is undecorated. Th…

A single looped oval buckle with integral forked spacer, cast in copper alloy. The buckle frame has a triangle lip projection where the terminal of the pin would have rested. The pin recess sits in-between the forks of the spacer, on the strap bar. The pin is missing. The buckle plate is also missing. Both prongs are broken. The tapering prongs of the forked spacer have two steps cut into the copper alloy. This stepping occurs on the inner edges of the fork. The front of the oval buckle has a chamfered edge, but the fork and the reverse of the oval buckle are flat and have squared edge…

A copper alloy tear-dropped shaped mount. The front surface of the mount has been gilded. There is a knop on the rounded end of the mount and a trilobate knop on the pointed end of the mount. The reverse is undecorated and ungilded. On the reverse two spikes survive which would have held the mount onto either wood or leather. The mount appears to be complete apart from the broken spike. Much of the artefacts original surface has been lost and the gilding only survives in traces. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour. This mount probably dates from the post medieval period, cir…
