An incomplete early medieval silver penny of Coenwulf of Mercia (796-821), large portrait issure (Naismith C39.1; North 347) dating c.AD810-21, mint: Canterbury, moneyer: Diormod. Ref: Naismith 2011: 151, plate 22-3 (this coin C39.1s); North 1994: 65.
The coin is in poor condition with approximately 60% surviving, the coin broken along irregular fractures lines probably from post-depositonal damage.
