A lead Early Tudor token (c.1490-1545). These tokens were usually a lead, tin, pewter alloy (Mitchiner and Skinner 1984:102). The token probably belongs to the Tau Cross type, although the reverse is plain. The obverse has a plain cross in a circle with an oblique anti-clockwise ray border. It is similar to no. 13 plate 6 pg. 147 in Mitchiner and Skinner "Early Tudor Tokens c.1425-1672" British Numismatic Journal vol. 54 1984, although there are wider spaces between the rays in the border. This side (the obverse) is decorated with the crudely depicted design of a deer standing and facing right. The reverse has the letters "L T". The surfaces are worn and corroded. A slightly worn lead token of medieval date. The object is sub-circular and is slightly worn. It measures 26.2mm diameter by 2.7mm thick and weighs 13.67g. One of the sides is decorated with the raised design of a bird, facing to the left. It is crudely depicted and has cross hatched decoration across its body. The field above the bird contains a possible leaf, whilst in front of the bird is a symbol which resembles a backwards letter "B". The other side of the token also has a bird design. A silver "love token" of post-medieval date. The surfaces of the coin have been worn (deliberately ?) smooth and so the ruler cannot be identified. The size and form suggest that it is a milled sixpence, probably of William III. The coin has two deliberate folds. It measures 19.4mm diameter by 0.9mm thick and weighs 1.62g.
