A Medieval iron axe head (10th - 13th century). The width of the axe head expands from the butt (width: 50.19mm) to the curved cutting edge (width: 88.57mm). The upper edge is straight but the lower edge curves downwards. In the centre on one side a makers mark has been stamped. The mark is a cross where the length is twice the width of the arms. A Medieval copper alloy strap bar mount (AD1066-1500). The mount is oval with two rounded projections (one at either end). both of the projections have a single circular perforation in the centre. One of which still has the rivet present. The rivet is missing from the other perforation. The mount is domed with a hollow reverse. A copper alloy circular, convex stud with traces of an iron pin in the centre of the reverse surface (length: 4mm (approx.) diameter: 5.23mm). The front surface is decorated with a central raised boss that has a circular depression in the middle; surrounding this boss are two concentric circular grooves (the final groove just inside the outer edge). The stud has a dark green glossy patina with rough red metal showing through. Diameter: 28.06mm; thickness: 9.32mm; weight: 9.26g.

A copper alloy Medieval (14th century) chape, with tinning or silvering - traces of white metal present. The chape was made from a sheet of copper alloy; the sheet was cut and folded to form the closed end. Approximately half of the chape is damaged with areas missing. It is similar to no.4095 (Biddle 1990:1093). The chape has a rough, patchy green patina. Length: 40.17; width: 12.00mm (approx.) narrowing to 9.22mm; thickness: 5.78mm; weight: 2.72g.

An Anglo Saxon copper-alloy strap-end dating to the 9th century. The strap-end has curving long edges shaped into scallops, and a stylised zoomorphic terminal (in this case quite stylised). An incised, curvilinear, 'S'-shaped scroll-like pattern is repeated three times along each side down the length of the strap-end, one S shape per scallop. A central pattern of a triangle, two affronted L shapes and two addorsed C shapes provides a mirror symmetry along its length. Two Roman copper alloy decorative mounts (AD43-200). These mounts are probably military in origin possibly from belt plates of scabbard plates (Bishop & Coulston 1993: 89 and 97). Stylistically the two fragments are very similar but they do not conjoin. They comprise two strips of sheet copper alloy with parallel sides and pressed/hammered decoration. A late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy Colchester brooch. It is a one-piece brooch with a short plain crossbar, and spring with an external chord held by a rearward lock. The spring has eight turns. The bow is decorated with a twisted rope motif extending down the midline to the foot. This is a secondary blade flake with four removals from the dorsal surface. There is very fine retouch around the tip of the blade; the retouch extends along 11.78mm on the left side and then curves around the tip. It is retouched from the dorsal surface only. A Neolithic stone axehead (3,500 - 2,100BC). The axehead is a flaked heavy rough-out with no traces of grinding or polishing. It has a curved cutting edge (width: 82.43mm) and slightly tapering sides to a thin, broad butt (width: 51.41mm). There is some modern damage that has removed the majority of the butt. Dark grey brown stone, Lesley Dunlop (The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock) has identified the stone as a fine-grained sandstone - Sarcen. A Medieval copper alloy brooch with collets (12th -15th century). The brooch has a circular frame with a constriction for the pin. The pin loop is incomplete although this may be due to damage. There is a raised ridge at the junction between the pin loop and the pin shaft. The frame is constructed from a flat circular ring then the decorative ring is soldered on top.
