A copper alloy Bronze Age palstave axe (Middle Bronze Age 1500-1150BC). The axe has a hammered crescentic blade, raised stop and flanges. There is some wear on the cutting edge and the blade tips are rounded (either through wear or abrasion); one corner from the butt is missing. There are three raised ribs that extend from the stop towards the butt; on one side these are parallel (length: 32.88mm approx.), on the other side two are parallel and the middle rib runs diagonally making contact with the other two ribs at opposite ends (length: 29.42mm approx.). A Medieval copper alloy domed book mount with four rivets (12th-16th century). The dome is decorated with two incised lines that intersect at the peak. Four flat lugs project from the dome at the angles between the incised lines. Each of the lugs is perforated and still has the rivet present. The reverse is hollow. A Medieval copper alloy buckle and plate (14th century). The buckle frame has an off-set bar and is curved so that the outer edge rises up. The outer edge is swollen to form a solid cylinder that is angled to form a central point that is notched for the pin rest. The pin is now missing. The buckle plate is rectangular - the longer axis is perpendicular to the bar. Two hinge loops and traces of iron are present near the recess where the pin originally sat. A two disc lead alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. It is formed from two lead discs held together by a central rivet and joined at the top by a short rectangular connecting strip. One disc preserves moulded decoration depicting the letter A with a crown above with a crowned C to one side. The reverse is plain. An early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) foot from a copper alloy cruciform brooch. It is broken just above the bow. The bow is hollow and decorated with a raised central ridge. There appears to be a border of punched dots around the edge of the pendant. The suspension loop is turned through 90 degrees to the pendant. The reverse is hollow. A Medieval silver brooch pin (14th century). The pin is of tapering D-section with two transverse ribs next to the loop. Where the pin would rest on the brooch is thins and curves slightly. One very similar pin (still attached to the brooch) has been found in Stanfield, Norfolk (Annual Treasure Report 2002:80, fig. 76).
