A lead Early Tudor token (c.1490-1545). These tokens were usually a lead, tin, pewter alloy (Mitchiner and Skinner 1984:102). The token probably belongs to the Tau Cross type, although the reverse is plain. The obverse has a plain cross in a circle with an oblique anti-clockwise ray border. It is similar to no. 13 plate 6 pg. 147 in Mitchiner and Skinner "Early Tudor Tokens c.1425-1672" British Numismatic Journal vol. 54 1984, although there are wider spaces between the rays in the border. A complete copper alloy Roman composite plate brooch. At the centre is a raised square panel with a knurled outer edge which is c.1.5mm wide, and a central square recess which measures 10.56x10.15mm. There us a trace of turquoise and possibly yellow enamel in one corner, which is most likely to have been millefiori enamel in a chequerboard pattern. A complete late Roman - Early Medieval (4th - early 5th Century) copper alloy buckle and plate of Hawkes and Dunning Type 1B. The buckle has a pair of facing dolphins at the centre of the outer edge. Each has open jaws defined by two incised transverse lines and a ring-and-dot for the eye. A recess in the area between the jaws serves as the pin rest. Each dolphin has a horse extending from its crest and which look in the opposite direction to the dolphin. The horses are flat and set below the dolphins that are moulded. A copper alloy early Post-Medieval (late 16th Century) hooked tag. The plate is shield-shaped (oval with one straight side)with a central floral motif in openwork. There is a central flower, similar to the Tudor rose, with three half flowers surrounding it and bordering the edge of the plate. In between these half-flowers the outer edge is moulded to look like twisted rope or ?vines. Four body sherds of Roman colour coated ware, possibly New Forest colour coated ware. The sherds range from red to pale grey fabric with a black colour coat on one or both surfaces. Only one sherd is decorated. The sherd appears to be indented with a comb stamped decoration running vertically along the indent. This is possibly from an indented beaker. If the sherds are New Forest colour coated ware then the date range would be 260-370.

A Medieval copper alloy harness mount (15th-16th century). The mount is circular and slightly domed. The front is decorated with a beast left, head facing and the pointed tail curves up over the back. The entire motif is enclosed within a raised border. The beast resembles the lion of St Mark although there is a similar beast depicted on a harness pendant where the beast is described as a “fantastic monster” that is purely decorative (Ashley 2002: 17 no. 155). A Middle Bronze Age copper alloy awl (1,500-1,500BC). It is incomplete, measuring 40.15mm in length and with a maximum diameter of 5.12mm. A Post Medieval copper alloy cast knife end cap (16th century). The end cap is cylindrical with a slot in one end filled with iron from the tang of the knife. The opposite end to the slot is decorated with four incised lines with extend across the entire surface and cross to form a star pattern. A fragment of a copper alloy Roman bracelet or armlet (AD43-55). The central panel has a double wreath design which is flanked by two grooves and two raised ribs and plain parallel-sided strips. Very dark green patina. The shape has been distorted through damage. It is similar to no. 1586 found at Balkerne Lane, Colchester and dated AD43-55 (Crummy 1983:37-8).
