Copper-alloy ring, perhaps the frame from a brooch or buckle. The ring is nearly circular externally (25 x 26 mm) but internally one edge is shaped into a slight V with a dip in the centre. This may represent a constriction for a pin. The cross-section is roughly oval and 2.5 x 3.5 mm. The object weighs 3.58g.Perhaps medieval or early post-medieval, c1100-1650AD.

Three lead-alloy rings, all 21-22 mm in diameter. All have roughly circular or oval cross-sections; two are more chunky, about 3.5 mm in cross-section, and one is slimmer, 2-2.5 mm in cross-section. Lead-alloy rings of the chunky shape, but only 15 mm in diameter, are identified by Egan and Pritchard, Dress accessories, as early 15th-century shoe-buckles (1991, 62-4). Lead alloy is not strong, and so may not be suitable for other heavier uses. Probably 1400-1450AD.
