Silver Denarius of Trajan (98-117 AD), minted between 101 and 102 AD. The obverse depicts a likeness of the head of Trajan facing right with laureate crown. The obverse inscription reads: IMP CAES NER[VA TRAIAN] AVG GERM. The reverse depicts a figure (Mars) walking right with a spear and trophy. The inscription reads: PM TRP COS [IIII PP].

A Sestertius of Trajan, c. AD 98 - 117. A coin celebrating the victories over the Dacian Empire. The obverse shows a laureated head facing right with the inscription: IMP. CAES . NERVAE TRAIANO AVG.GER.DAC. P.M.TR.P.COS.V.P.P
The reverse shows Trajan, to the right, galloping on horseback and brandishing a spear at a Dacian warrior who is being trampled by horse's fore-hooves. The inscription reads SPOROPTIMO PRINCIPI ( SC ) In Exergue.
