A complete cast copper alloy decorative mount, probably dating to the 1st/ 2nd century AD (length: 47.6mm; width: 13mm; thickness: approximately 5mm; weight: unknown as artefact secured in box). Decorative copper alloy strip. Both ends broken. One end is birfurcated and has a drop-shaped piercing in each bifurcation. This is followed by an oval swelling decorated with engraved floral design, then the strip expands and there is a transverse row of three engraved lozenges, then the strip narrows again, to the break. The decoration points to a 16th or 17th century date. Length 51.66mm, width 13.98mm, thickness 1.52mm, weight 4.83g.

A cast copper-alloy post-medieval mount. The sub-rectangular mount flares out to a fleur-de-lis terminal. The opposite end has a raised horizontal band, which is semicircular in section. The reverse of the mount has a single integral upturned hook behind the fleur-de-lis terminal. The length is 30.9mm, the width is 19.9mm and the weight is 5.84g.

A complete copper-alloy hooked mount from a sword belt, with neo-classical anthropomorphic decoration of a female bust in relief facing forward with long curly hair. Below the bust is an integral loop (internal diameter 11.0mm) with two smaller attachment holes above it. The top of the bust has an integral flat blunt hook, which bends up then down behind the mount. The length of the mount is 61.6mm, the width is 25.4mm and the weight is 16.11g. 17th century.

An incomplete and bent probable strap or belt mount, copper-alloy and rectangular in shape, measuring 17mm in length and 13mm in width. There are two parallel rivet holes at the complete end and one central one at the other incomplete end. One face has a very slight trace of what may be a decorative border formed of tiny transverse grooves. This strap/belt mount is most likely to be medieval and circa 14th century in date.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy casket/chest fitting, probably a mount. The rectangular strap mount has an incomplete circular section at one end and tapers slightly to a knob terminal at the other. The strap is slightly convex and has a large rivet hole at each end, one of which has traces of iron corrosion around it. The back of the mount is flat. The surviving length is 61.6mm, the width of the rectangular section is 11.5mm and the weight is 13.11g.

A copper-alloy plaque or mount 26mm square and 2mm thick with a hole at each corner for fixing screws or pins, and a central circular cruciform pattern on one side enriched with enamels. The motif consists of a central equal-armed cross, shown in red or brown enamel. This was further outlined by enamel of a second colour which has now completely degraded, leaving a recessed channel where it is lost. Post medieval copper alloy mount, 'bow-tie' shaped - two pointed ovals with an upright oval at the centre covering the innermost pointed ends. It is 25mm long with a max width of 6mm and weighing 1.56g. On the reverse are two flat-sectioned but pointed spikes 5mm long at the exremities of the mount. The other side is decorated a with a pair of grooves at the pointed ends of the ovals. The remainder of the oval is decorated with insiced lines criss-crossing to create tiny diamond shapes. The central oval is decorated with an incised X.

Incomplete medieval repousse copper alloy mount, now in two pieces and missing much of its edges. It depicts a lion walking left - the head is missing but the neck suggests it is turned to face. There is decoration of tiny dots at the front of the body, presumably suggesting a shaggy, curly front. The portraiture of the muscle definition on the body and legs well-exectued. Two medieval sheet copper alloy domed sexfoil belt mounts, one 14mm in diameter, the other 13mm in diameter, and both standing 4.5mm high. The highest, most central point, is pierced (less than 1mm diameter) for attachment purposes (one rivet hole is damaged and therefore larger). The form is 6 petals around a central circular raised area. The mount has been worked from the reverse. They weigh 0.35g and 0.62g respectively. 12th-14th century.

Medieval sheet copper alloy belt mount, basically rectangular in shape and domed. A tiny rivet remains in situ at the centre of the mount. The mount is 12x10mm and the rivet is 3.5mm long (the mount therefore stands this tall). The decoration has been worked from the reverse. At the centre are three raised vertical ribs and to either side three wider horizontal ribs. It weighs 0.38g. 12th-14th century.
