An incomplete copper-alloy decorative strap mount. Rectangular in shape and consisting of two sheets held together with a small copper-alloy rivet through either end, which would have originally have attached this mount to a leather strap or belt. It measures 27mm in length and 18mm in width. There is a circular perforation through the centre of this mount. There are similar mounts from London and it is thought that they have a specalised function, but this has not yet been identified. They are believed to be mid14th-15th century in date (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 224-226).

An incomplete and bent probable strap or belt mount, copper-alloy and rectangular in shape, measuring 17mm in length and 13mm in width. There are two parallel rivet holes at the complete end and one central one at the other incomplete end. One face has a very slight trace of what may be a decorative border formed of tiny transverse grooves. This strap/belt mount is most likely to be medieval and circa 14th century in date.

A copper-alloy plaque or mount 26mm square and 2mm thick with a hole at each corner for fixing screws or pins, and a central circular cruciform pattern on one side enriched with enamels. The motif consists of a central equal-armed cross, shown in red or brown enamel. This was further outlined by enamel of a second colour which has now completely degraded, leaving a recessed channel where it is lost. A probable copper-alloy mount in the form of a head, oval in shape measuring 31mm in length and 25mm in width. The metal of this mount is reddish brown in colour with patches of a black patination.
The front face is rounded, projecting and moulded to depict a bowl-like hair style with individual waves of hairs highlighted with grooves. A very unusual copper-alloy possible mount, most likely to be late early-medieval or Viking Age, 11th century in date, as it has Ringerike-style decoration.
It is flat and measures 55mm in length and 30mm in width. Its plate is roughly rectangular in shape overall, with shaped edges. One terminal end has a central solid three-dimensional triangular projection or prong which curves up slightly from the plane of the plate; this is 15mm in length, 8mm in width and 7mm in thickness.

A medieval copper-alloy sheet decorative strap or belt mount. Rectangular in shape with one corner missing due to an old break, measuring 26mm by 28mm in size. This mount is flat, has V-shaped notches cut either side of each corner and small rivet holes through the centre of each corner. One the front face traces of a white metal coating can be seen.

Two copper-alloy medieval circa 14th century bar mounts.
1: This mount has a central circular lobe and small terminal lobes, it measures 18mm in length and 8mm in width. The central lobe projects and has a circular hole through its centre, its sides are decorated with transverse grooves. A complete copper-alloy bar mount, rectangular in shape and measuring 14mm in length and 6mm in width. The front face of this mount has a central longitudinal ridge with a longitudinal border groove to either side of this. There is a circular central hole through the mount and a copper-alloy rivet through either end, these rivets has circular roves on their terminals. This bar mount is most likely to be medieval and circa 14th century in date.

A copper-alloy incomplete object which is most likely to have functioned as a mount. It consists of four evenly spaced arms and measuring c29mm by c29mm. No parallel could be found for this object, which from its style perhaps is likely to be late early medieval, that is late Anglo-Saxon or Viking Age in date.
Each arm has a rounded face and a flat back. In the centre of the face, where the arms meet, is an incised cross. Each arm terminates in a zoomorphic terminal with two parallel circular indentations representing eyes and a square ended snout.

A complete copper-alloy mount, most likely to be medieval in date and to have decortaed a strap or belt. This mount is square in plan with a large central boss projecting from its front face, the back face of this boss is hollow. The mount measures 32.4mm by 32.4mm in size and the boss measures 25mm in diameter. There is a small circular rivet hole through each of the four corners of the mount.

A cast copper-alloy mount or strap fitting, most likely to be Roman in date. This mount is hexagonal in cross-section and has a domed front face and hollow back face. It measures c21mm by c21mm in size and 9mm in thickness.
The domed front face has a central circular perforation which measures 4mm in diameter. An unusual incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman mount, possibly from a box, vessel or strap, too little of the reverse of this object now survives to be sure what it would have been attached to.

A complete copper-alloy strap or belt mount, medieval, circa 1300-1450 in date. This mount is roughly rectangular in plan measuring 19mm in length and 13mm in width. It has two opposing V-shaped notches in its centre, one terminal is square ended and the other rounded in shape. The transverse edge of the square ended terminal has a rectangular bar mount riveted onto it. The rivet is in the centre of this edge and parallel with another copper-alloy rivet which is in the centre of the opposing rounded terminal end.

A complete cast worn copper alloy strap or belt mount or stud Roman or later in date. This stud has a circular head measuring 12mm in diameter, the front face has a raised border moulding and in the centre of the head is a circular fragment of possibly black enamel with traces of red enamel surrounding it. On the reverse of the head there is an integral cylindrical shaft and a prominent casting seam is also visible.

An incomplete crescentic shaped copper-alloy probable mount likely to be of medieval or post medieval date. It seems that roughly half of this mount now survives and it measures 35mm in surviving length and 19mm in width. The front face is convex and the back face hollow with an integral cylindrical rivet in its centre. The back face has patches of original patina which seems to be silvery in colour, perhaps indicating a high lead or tin content.
