Copper alloy buckle pin. The loop is generally oval in section and forms a slight knop on the inside edge at the junction with the shaft. There is also a raised rectangular element on the upper surface of the shaft at the junction with the loop. The shaft is also oval in section and tapers from the junction with the loop. The end of the shaft is broken off. Mid-green patina.

Sheet copper alloy folded long rectangular plate. Recessed with pin slot. The upper plate is considerably longer than the lower plate. There are two rivet holes in each plate. The rivet holes are arranged laterally and are located at the end of the lower plate, and at approximately two thirds of the length of the upper plate from the frame recesses and pin slot so that they align. One of the rivet holes in the upper plate retains the remains of the iron rivet and is surrounded by iron staining. A late Roman zoomorphic buckle of Hawkes and Dunning Type IA. One half survives and this shows one of a presumed pair of dolphins facing inwards towards the centre of the buckle.

An incomplete copper alloy double loop oval buckle of Post-Medieval date with the iron pin intact. One loop and traces of the second loop survive. There is a pointed knop at both ends of the strap bar. The outer edge of the loop is lightly bevelled and expands with a moulded six-petalled flower.
