A complete cast silver medieval brooch. The brooch is slightly distorted but was originally in the form of a quatrefoil with triangles in each angle. A cast silver pin is looped around one of the petals. The length of the brooch is around 42mm and the width is around 17mm.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman dolphin brooch. The tubular wings conceal a hinge pin mechanism. Most of the copper-alloy pin survives, though it is now bent underneath the wings. The high arched bow tapers to a break. The brooch is undecorated. The catchplate and foot of the brooch are missing. The surviving length is 18.9mm, the width is 20.7mm and the weight is 2.77g.

The bow and catchplate of an Iron Age brooch. The expanded hollow bow is worn smooth but there is incised ornament consisting of diagonal lines, or infilled triangles, at its upper and lower extremities. Below the bow is the catchplate and from this the foot bends around and terminates in a zoomorphic snouted terminal. The spring (probably four coil) and pin are both missing.

Approximately 50% of a disc brooch. The flat circular face has traces of a white metal coating. Within the central inscribed circle is a group of four ring-and-dot stamps around a central circular pit. On the circumference is a further group of four ring-and-dot stamps set at regular intervals. On the back only the catchplate survives.

An incomplete copper alloy Romano-British trumpet brooch. The foot is missing, as is some of the bow and most of the catchplate. The bow is hemispherical in section with a flat back. The bow is decorated with geometric mouldings above and below the acanthus decoration; the moulding above has the remains of enamelling; some appears red but mainly the colour is uncertain. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman flat disc brooch. The incomplete disc has a riveted central raised boss with six smaller raised pellets around it. Around some of the smaller bosses are traces of green enamel. The back of the brooch has a single perforated lug and a broken catchplate. The pin is missing. The diameter is 19.4mm and the weight is 3.25g A similar example can be found in Hattat (1987, P.173, No.1047) though this example has lugs around the edge of the disc.

A fragment of a cast copper-alloy roman bow brooch. The bow and foot fragment is all that survives of the brooch. The incomplete bow has a vertical rib running down the centre. At the base of the bow are three transverse grooves. The foot knob has two transverse ribs along it. Some of the catchplate still remains. The surviving length is 23.8mm, the width is 4.7mm and the weight is 2.18g.

An enamelled copper alloy brooch with a lozenge shaped central feature in which a circle is filled with pale orange enamel. This was enclosed by another enamelled area but none of the colour survives. Two corners of the lozenge have stylised animal heads extending from them. These have incised feathers or scales and pelleted eyes and a long beak or nose. The reverse has two pierced lugs for the, now missing, pin. The catch plate is complete.
