Blade Neolithic Length 45mm, width 21mm, thickness 8mm Multiple flaking scars on the ventral, as a result any evidence for the original bulb of percussion is missing, these flaking scars have removed the patina. Remains of the cortex at the top edge. One arrise on the dorsal which runs off centre, down most of the length of the flint. Blade running down both sides, both blades have been retouched from the ventral side, the top of the left blade has had a hinge removal at the top, resulting in the top of the blade being stepped, there is extensive retouch around this f…

Retouched blade. The blade has parallel edges and a rounded proximal end; there is retouch all around these edges on the dorsal surface. The tool was probably used as a knife as the edges are slightly serrated. The distal end of the tool widens out and comes to a sharp point at the top of the right dorsal edge and this may have also been functional – this end deceptively looks like the butt of the blade but the bulb of percussion is visible on the ventral surface at the rounded end. The blade weighs 2.45g and measures 36.6mm in length, 13.35mm in width and 7.05mm in thickness.

A flint blade flake (Prehistoric). No areas of retouch. Orange/brown/grey flint with thick patina, there are some rust spots present on the flint. Small area of cortex (approx. 5%) on the tip of the flake. There are three removal scars on the dorsal surface. The flake appears to have come from the top of the core ?a core rejuvenating flake. There is some modern edge damage present. Length: 56.42mm; width: 23.36mm; thickness: 7.76mm; weight: 11.61g.

Segment of a snapped flint blade of probable late Mesolithic date (6500BC - 3500BC). The flint tool is sub-rectangular in plan and profile and consists of the upper part of a blade. It measures ??? length, ??? width, and is ??? thick. The blade weighs ???. The bulb of percussion is clear on the reverse of the flake; the opposite end has been snapped. The two long vertical sides of the blade have both been reworked / retouched. This is most evident on the middle and upper edges. The left hand edge seems to have been reworked more comprehensively than the right; there is a higher density…
