Struck in silver, this coin was cut to form a half penny. The coin can be attributed to a class 2a of Henry III due to legend HENRICVS REX T[ERCI] and the lettering style used, particularly the form of the X. The reverse of the coin is a voided long cross that seperates the legend ICH +HS, which would have formed the name of the moneyer and mint. It is possible that the mint was Norwich due to the surviving letters 'ich' in the legend. The angles of the cross contain three pellets.
