A copper-alloy knife end cap of 16th century AD date. The object is three dimensional and depicts a (?baby) girl's head and part of the torso. The head is angular in appearance, with defined corners. The eyes, nose, and mouth are faintly depicted and the face is framed on three sides by a headdress, the back of which is shown by representations of vertical folds. The neck is the narrowest point of the figure and the start of the 'torso' is hexagonal in section. The knife blade would have slotted into the transverse groove in the base of the terminal. A copper-alloy pointed-oval seal matrix of probable mid to late 13th century AD date. It has a central image of a neatly engraved detailed fleur-de-lis. On the reverse is a central rib and a circular lug, which is located at the bottom, suggesting that the central motif was added upside down.The legend runs clockwise when printed, starting at the top of the fleur-de-lis; there is no initial mark. Flint end scraper. The proximal end, including the bulb, appears to be missing. There is short retouch at c. 50° along the distal edge. The dorsal left side is broken off (probably plough damage); the dorsal right side may also be broken off, although this could have been deliberately removed. No flake scar on the dorsal surface. Cast copper alloy Hod Hill type Roman brooch. The hinge for the pin is broken off, the pin is missing and the catchplate is damaged. One raised transverse moulding at the top of the bow, then four diverging longitudinal mouldings on the central triangular expanded area of the bow. There are two projections at each lower corner of the the triangle, one is bent towards the reverse.
