Early Saxon button from wrist-clasp of Hines Form B1: circular, flat-headed, with single, integral, marginally off-centre rivet. Diameter 16mm. Decoration consists of a single engraved trefoil with very slender (6.5mm x 1.5mm) leaves. Gilding is present in the leaves but not elsewhere. Round section rivet 8mm long, slightly tapering. It dates from c.475 - c.550 AD. The design is close to the stamped triskele patterns found on Scandinavian bevel-edged buttons of Hines Form B1iva (Hines 1993, fig.36a) but is also reminiscent of a cast four-leaved motif characteristic of rather earlie…

An incomplete cast copper alloy knife handle, rectangular in plan and slightly curvilinear this handle measures 45.2mm in length, 11.2mm in width and 5.4mm in thickness. The terminal end is zoomorphic and although now worn and corroded probably originally intended to represent the head and curving neck of an animal, possibly a horse. A complete copper-alloy strap fitting most likely to be Roman in date. This strap fitting consists of a worn flat rectangular plate with a rectangular strap loop projecting from its back face. The rectangular plate measures 35mm in length and 14mm in width it is worn and its edges now rounded. A cast copper-alloy mount or strap fitting, most likely to be Roman in date. This mount is hexagonal in cross-section and has a domed front face and hollow back face. The dorsal left side is broken off (probably plough damage); the dorsal right side may also be broken off, although this could have been deliberately removed. No flake scar on the dorsal surface. A complete copper-alloy strap or belt mount, medieval, circa 1300-1450 in date. This mount is roughly rectangular in plan measuring 19mm in length and 13mm in width. It has two opposing V-shaped notches in its centre, one terminal is square ended and the other rounded in shape. The transverse edge of the square ended terminal has a rectangular bar mount riveted onto it. The rivet is in the centre of this edge and parallel with another copper-alloy rivet which is in the centre of the opposing rounded terminal end.

A complete copper-alloy D-shaped buckle frame of medieval circa 14th century date. This frame measures 23mm by 15mm in size. Projecting from the centre of the outer edge is a rounded knob. There are also small transverse ridges above where the bar meets the frame. The bar is narrowed.

A fragment of a copper-alloy harness pendant suspension mount of late 12th- 13th century in date. This fragment is part of the lower edge of the pendant suspension mount, it has a central projecting rectangle of folded sheet copper-alloy, with a longitudinal rectangular slot cut through it. The back face of this sheet is now missing, it would have originally been folded back sharply and presumably soldered to the back face of the pendant suspension mount. This swivel would have originally have consisted of two D-shaped loops, one with an integral bolt which would have fitted inside a hole in the straight bar of the other D-shaped loop. A complete monochrome glass bead of possible Anglo-Saxon date. This bead is circular in plan measuring 18.6mm in diameter and 7mm in thickness. It has a large circular central perforation, measuring 8mm in diameter. The glass is a light pale green in colour with air bubbles visible within the glass. There are circular marks around this bead, presumably where it has been worked. The pale colour is found on early Anglo-Saxon beads (e.g. Brugmann's Doughnut type) but is not particularly common in beads of this shape, which tend to be a deeper blue or green (e.g. Brugmann 2004, fig.…
