A complete Greek imperial bronze dupondius of Caracalla, minted in Philippopolis, Thrace between AD 198-217 (diameter: 30mm; thickness: 3mm; weight: 15.93g). The coin is in a worn but fair condition with most of the detail and inscription still visible.

A contemporary copy of a CERES AVGVSTA type dupondius of Claudius I, 41-54 AD. Th coin could therefore date to any time after the beginning reign of Claudius I. The coin is worn and weighs 10.17g.
Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M. Bompaire (in Trésors Monétaires XXI, 2005), is working through the British examples of Claudian coinage recorded through the PAS assigning many so-called Claudian contemporary copies to Roman auxiliary mints which operated at Lyons (Gaul) and in Spain. This example could not be classified to a mint.

This copper alloy fragment has one curved edge and a straight worn break. It is possibly a section of a Roman dupondius coin. The fragment is corroded and is dull red in colour. It is 26.53mm long, has a thickness of 3.1mm and weighs 3.59 grams.
