Polden Hill type Roman bow brooch. In corroded condition. Part of bow and pin missing. Humped over head, tapering bow, plano-convex in section. Vestiges of decoration remaining on the top of the head suggest the bow was decorated with a moulded median midrib. Incipient oval mouldings to either side of the head that continue underneath to form a bulge. Tubular wings with pierced lugs support an iron axis bar. Round ended slot in the centre of the wings contains the remains of the hinged pin. catchplate and foot missing.

Heavy cast copper alloy object consisting a pair of co-joined hollow-backed hemisheres. Slight grooves on each near the join. One of the hemispheres has a slight lip projecting from the edge.
The object resembles part of a Wild Class I (Wild 1970) button-and-loop fastener although these are not hollow-backed.
