A large flint flake, with evidence of secondary working / retouch, probably dating to the later (upper) Palaeolithic period (40,000 -8,300 BC). The flake is irregular in both plan and profile. The ventral (reverse) face of the flake exhibits a small bulb of percussion; however, the wave like ripples from the blow cannot be seen. Above the bulb of percussion is a small striking platform. Incomplete copper-alloy head-dress pin or 'bodkin' of post-medieval date (1600-1650 AD). The pin is broadly sub-rectangular in plan and profile, with an irregular cross-section. The lower part of the pin is missing due to an old break. The pin measures 48.3mm length, 5.5mm width, is 2.4mm thick, and weighs 3.35 grams. The front and rear faces of the pin have been decorated with a combination of cast/pierced decoration and incised lines. Incomplete cast copper alloy double looped (spectacle) buckle of post-medieval date (1500-1650). The frame of the buckle is sub-rectangular (rectangular with angled corners) in plan with a central bar to which the pin (not present) would have fitted. In the centre of the buckle frame, either side of the axis bar, are two small semi-circular cast knops. The buckle measures 21.7mm long, 16.1mm wide and is 2.9mm thick. It weighs 1.52 grams. Three body sherds of unglazed earthenware pottery probably dating form the medieval period (1350 – 1500). It is likely that these sherds are from three separate domestic storage or cooking vessel. The fabric of all three the sherds is relatively hard earthenware with a number of small rounded and sub-angular grit, quartz, and burnt pottery inclusions. The fabric colour of the sherds ranges from mid to dark grey. The inner and outer colours of these sherds also vary from a light buff coloured grey to a white grey colour.
