Fragment of Mid/Late Saxon hooked tag, slightly trapezoidal, decoration comprises remains of two pairs of broad flat ribs with stamped ring-and-dot between three and below one narrow knurled ribs, broken across one of two perforations for attachment in corners of upper edge, >17 x >14mm. Cf. Margeson (in Rogerson 1995) 56-8, fig.39. 8th-11th century.

Copper alloy brooch fragment, headstud type. Upper half only with a damaged headloop. Type with a hinged pin, cast headloop and cast headstud. The wings have vertical grooves. The headstud has central solid dot with groove defining it that may contain enamel traces. Below this the bow has rectangular cells, one containing fragmentary pale enamel. Width 16mm, surviving length 26mm.

Incomplete copper alloy Iron Age to Roman Colchester type brooch. Missing the spring, pin and catchplate, it is extremely corroded and most of the surface is missing. Small flat wings. The bow back is slightly convex, the front rounded and tapering to a point, with no surviving decoration. Surviving length 47mm, surviving width 13.5mm.

Fragment of cast copper alloy 11th century stirrup mount of Williams's class A, type 5. The complete stirrup mount would have consisted of a pentagonal, flat frame or body, set within a pair of tendril like shapes, down each diagonal side, which terminate in scrolls. Extending from the apex would have been a long, handle like extension, which would have probably terminated in a zoomorphic head that supported the apex loop. A copper-alloy seal matrix of 'chess pawn' type medieval and circa 14th century in date. It has a lozenge shaped suspension loop with a circular hole through its centre. The shaft is hexagonal in cross-section and the die circular. It measures 19.6mm in total height and the die is 18.6mm in diameter. The die has a border inscription which read; I CRAKE NOTIS, which means, 'I crack nuts.' In the centre of the die there is a squirrel.

A fragment of copper-alloy possible metal working debris, date unknown. This fragment is irregular and has rough uneven edges, it measures 23mm by 25mm in size and it 17.4mm in thickness. It has irregular holes and protrusions and the metal has green areas and more silvery and gold coloured areas and specks too.

A copper alloy terminal of uncertain date. It consists of an incomplete shank 15.2mm long and 3.22mm wide with a rectangular cross- section. It is surmounted by a raised collar and a fan-shaped terminal. This is decorated on both sides with five incised lines radiating from the collar to the edges of the terminal. Another incised line runs parallel and close to the outer curved edge of the fan-shaped edge. The object weighs 3.82g and is 28.06mm long and 12.73mm wide.

A copper-alloy mount which could be Roman or later in date. It is circular in shape with an integral rectangular loop projecting from the centre of the back face. It measures 22.5mm in diameter and the front face has two concentric circular grooves and a small circular knop in its centre. The back face is hollow. The copper-alloy is very silvery grey in colour which is unusual, this may be due to a high tin or lead content or possibly due to a surface coating, small patches of green corrosion products show through this surface colouration. A copper-alloy unidentified object, made from sheet it has a triangular shaped terminal end with two parallel rectangular shaped arms projecting from either end of the straight edge, one arm is now missing and only a stub of it remains, the other is incomplete. The triangular shaped part measures 13.5mm in length and 15.9mm in width and has a copper-alloy rivet through its tip. The more complete arm measures 39mm in length and 1.7mm in width, it tapers and thickens towards its terminal and has the remains of a perforation at the incomplete terminal end.

A copper-alloy incomplete unidentified object, date unknown. This object consists of a shaft with an oval shaped cross-section, with two projecting oval shaped mouldings at one end, these are flat. The object measures 22.4mm in length and 4.2mm in width across the shaft. The oval-shaped projections 9.4mm in width, 11.1mm in length and 4.4mm in thickness. Both ends of the object are incomplete due to old breaks and its original function is unknown.

A strip of copper-alloy sheet which is incomplete at either end due to old breaks. Its date and function are unknown. It is rectangular in shape and measures 28.3mm in length and 4.8mm in width. It has two circular indentations which appear as rounded bosses on the other face. Both faces also have traces of possible gilding.

A copper-alloy ring which is now worn but seems to have had a roughly hexagonal cross-section originally. It measures 21.8mm in external diameter and 14.9mm in internal diameter. Such rings with hexagonal cross-sections are probably mediveal in date and may have functioned as crude buckle or brooch frames or possibly as harness rings.
