Roman cast copper alloy dolphin type brooch, 1st century. Most of the hinged pin is broken off. There is a faint narrow groove at the end of each of the circular sectioned wings. The bow is decorated with a longitudinal raised triangular sectioned ridge with transverse notches along its apex. There is no definite foot, the bow simply terminates. The catchplate is complete. Fine green-brown patina; the pin appears to be a different alloy, having much light green powdery corrosion. Roman cast copper alloy mount in the form of a human head wearing a radiate crown with seven spikes - probably the sun god Sol. Very corroded with little detail discernible. The cheeks and chin are prominent. The reverse of the mount is hollow cast, and there is what appears to be a lead based solder within. Small areas of orange-brown patina, the exposed metal is brown-red. Probably 3rd or 4th century. Length 32.80mm, width 29.94mm, thickness 10.56mm, weight 15.43g.

Early Medieval strap end, incomplete. There are two rivet holes (the rivets are missing) in the damaged proximal end, which is split to take the strap. The central panel of the strap end is decorated with numerous simple punched half moon motifs. The distal terminal is broken off, but was probably decorated with a debased animal head. Reddish-brown metal, with some light green corrosion. Probably late 9th century. Length 26.46mm, width 13.01mm, thickness 2.82mm, weight 2.45g.

Roman brooch fragment, lower part of bow and catchplate only. The lower part of the bow is flattened, and slighty expanded towards the base, although both corners are damaged; it is decorated with three ring and dot motifs - one at the top and two side by side at the base. The bottom of the bow terminates in a raised transverse ridge. The catchplate is complete. Fine green patina. Possibly a bow and fantail brooch (with narrow fantail), 1st-2nd century. Length 17.54mm, width 8.12mm, thickness 9.66mm, weight 1.60g.

The bow is decorated with a central longitudinal raised rib. The lower part of the bow and the foot are missing. Corroded with some dark brown patina, and much light green corrosion. Each wing is decorated with a wide, deep, diagonal groove. The bow is decorated with a central raised beaded rib, with a deep wide groove on either side. On each of the four corners of this brooch, there are solid rounded lugs (average diameter: 5mm). A complete cast copper-alloy lock pin. The perforated long rectangular shaft with iron corrosion still present inside and around the outside of the hole. The hollow and domed head has a protruding lip around the outside edge and has a sunken pellet in the centre, surrounded by a single concentric circle with small regular incisions at approximately 9mm from the centre. Unusual copper alloy buckle. The buckle frame is in the form of a solid flat C-shape with scroll-like terminals which do not meet together. The entire face is decorated with a double moulded zig-zagged line with a flower head in the remaining triangular cells. The two scroll-like terminals each have a large flower head. There is a broken iron pin bar across the centre on the reverse. The pin is missing. A parallel to this object could not be found at the time of writing, but has been attributed to the late 15th century based on its style.
