Very worn Roman nummus of a 4th century emperor. The obverse of the coin is extremely worn, with the outline of a right facing bust just visible. There is a standing figure on the reverse of the coin, however it is extremely worn. No legend is visible on either side of the coin. The coin was struck in copper alloy and the surface now has a light green patina with red-brown patches due to corrosion. The coin measures 16.46mm in diameter and is 1.86mm thick.

Struck in silver, this coin was cut to form a half penny. The coin can be attributed to a class 2a of Henry III due to legend HENRICVS REX T[ERCI] and the lettering style used, particularly the form of the X. The reverse of the coin is a voided long cross that seperates the legend ICH +HS, which would have formed the name of the moneyer and mint. Medieval cast copper alloy gilded fitting. This subrectangular fitting is incomplete, with a worn break at its apex. The break extends across a rivet hole, with only half of a circular rivet hole remaining. There are two lines of horizontal moulding encircling the fitting just below the rivet hole. The upper surface of the fitting has a raised circular projection positioned between the lines of moulding on the left. The surface of the fitting is very worn, and is a dull green colour except on the areas where the gilding survives.

Medieval buckle loop cast in copper alloy. The buckle is incomplete as the strap bar and pin are missing. The remaining section of the frame is moulded of the front edge with two shallow semi-circular ridges either side of where the pin would rest, however the frame is not notched. There are possibly some incised oblique lines on the very worn frame. The frame has a dull black-green patina, with large areas covered in light green corrosion products. The remaining section of the buckle frame is 39.12mm long, 27.88mm wide and 4.91mm thick.

Incomplete Medieval horse harness strap junction. The fitting is lozenge shape, with a semi-circular knop at two of the angles and measures 36mm across. The open circle in the centre of the lozenge has a diameter of 11mm. One corner of the lozenge is missing, and a rectangular bar with a square shaped terminal extends from the opposite angle. Cast in copper alloy the fitting is now dull brown in colour, with patches of light green on the surface. The total length of the fitting is 41mm.

Post Medieval finger ring. Cast in copper alloy this ring now has a dark grey patina. The hoop is 21mm in diameter and is undecorated with stepped shoulders. There is a sub-lozenge shaped bezel with a floral design around the edge bordering the inscription MEMENTO MORI (remember death). Mourning rings were given out at funerals in memory of a specific person however they may also have been worn as a constant reminder of the inevitability of death.

Medieval coin balance, cast in copper alloy. The central rectangular bar measures 20mm long and 4mm wide. There is a broken suspension loop attached to the centre of the bar, and a swivelling balance arm is attached at each end. Each arm is 43mm long and 3mm wide. The arms are oval in section with a relatively flat subrectangular terminal with a suspension ring attached at a right angle. When fully extended the balance is 90mm long.

The mount is in the shape of a scallop shell, with a trefoil projection extending from the base of the shell, and three lobes of decreasing size extending from the top of the shell. Possibly a incomplete Roman nail cleaner of type 2a. The suspension loop is missing, as is the tip of the blade. The remaining section of the nail cleaner is 43mm long and leaf shaped. The shoulders are 11mm at their widest point while the tip is 4mm wide. The surface is decorated with a central line of squares along its length and a narrow groove running parallel to the edges. Cast in copper alloy, the nail cleaner now has a light green patina due to corrosion. Nail cleaners of this shape date to the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. Similar shape can be seen in Crummy 1983, page 58.

Post Medieval dress fastener of cast copper alloy. The fastener is shield shaped and has a broken attachment loop with worn breaks. The central openwork design consists of a lis, with a plain border. The outside edge of the fastener is beaded, with eight beads on either length and a single bead positioned to each side and in the centre of the loop attachment. The hook is complete and has a moulded circle with two grooves at its head. The reverse is completely plain. The fastener is light green-grey in colour due to surface corrosion. It is 40mm in length, and 15mm wide at the widest point.

Medieval strap-end. This incomplete sub-rectangular strap-end was cast in copper alloy. One of the end plates is missing and there is a worn transverse break where it would have been attached to the body of the strap-end. There is one rivet hole at the attachment end, however the rivet is missing. There is no iron corrosion around the rivet hole, suggesting that the missing rivet may have been made from copper alloy. Cast copper alloy disc. The front of the disc is decorated with an animal within a rope work border. The animal is depicted in profile, with the front legs to the left hand side of the disc. The head is turned so that the animal is looking backwards. The creature is life-like, rather than depicted in any stylised form of artwork. It is aproximately 11mm in diameter, and the thickness is unknown. The disc has a pale green-brown patina. The reverse of this disc is unknown, but it is likely to be a Post-Medieval button.

Cast copper alloy mount of a human face. The mount is of a head only, no shoulders or neck are present. The worn face with sunken eyes and a rounded nose is bordered by short or pulled back hair. Some of the original copper-alloy patina shows through the layer of dark green corrosion. Identified from photograph, the figurine was descriped as a mount by the finder. The photograph only depicts the front of the mount, there is no image of the reverse to see the mount fittings. Head mounts were used by the Romans to decorate vessels. The mount measures 27mm in length and is 21mm wide.

Medieval copper alloy strap-end. The rectangular strap-end is 156mm long, 15mm wide with a pointed foot. There are three rivet holes arranged in a triangle at the attachement end, two of which still contain the copper alloy rivets. The foot end has three further copper alloy rivets, also positioned in a triangle. There is a cast design on the surface comprising of two lines down either side of the strap-end, with a central design, however the detail of this design is obscured due to the corroded surface.
