Sub-circular lead seal, one side with lettering arranged in a circle around an upwards arrow with a cross on either side. The lettering reads []OL[S.] DA [S]A[..]O. The other side bears the date 18[..] in a circle with letters around the outside: [..]H[.]A and a flower with leaves at the base. Two discs with a tubular loop along one edge for attachment.
Paul Cannon writes: This is a Papal States customs seal of the 1820s.

Part of the edge is missing; on one side the numeral 1 is visible in the centre with external lettering reading ROMA [.]ETTO [...]O. On the other side the letters MIN and SO can be read around a central circular area with a five-point star within an inner circle.
