Cast copper alloy buckle and plate of 15th Century date. The single loop oval buckle has a recessed bar to accommodate the attached plate. The pin is attached, and the buckle frame has a triangular notched lip for it to rest in. The plate is sub-rectangular with a trefoil projection at the end opposite the hinge. There are two large copper alloy rivets attached to the plate, one positioned behind the pin recess and the other is in the trefoil projection. Oval lead seal, possibly a cloth seal. Two discs with sealed edges forming a tubular loop for attachment on one side. Fibres and iron staining are visible between the discs. One side has what appears to be Arabic writing on it. The other has a monogram within a circular area. This appears to read HO with an inverted V through it and a diagonal line across one side of the O. The letters have branched terminals.

Sub-circular lead seal, two sealed outer discs enclose one or two inner discs and iron wire. There is a shield on one surface surmounted by a crown. The upper rectangular division of the shield has horizontal stripes and contains half a circular rosette or wheel. The lower part is divided into two, the left part possibly containing a lion rampant and the right with vertical lines behind an indistinct object. On the other surface of the seal there is a central figure 3 with lettering around the edge. This is worn but appears to read *M.M[U]T[ER] in one area. The remainder cannot be read.
