Complete 17th Century, cast, silver button. The button is circular in plan with a down turned edge. It is decorated with a single heart bisected by two crossing arrows with distinct feathered flights. Above the heart are flames. To the reverse of the button is a complete circular loop. The button is accompanied by a silver wire oval loop, now incomplete with a gap in its circumference, which presumably held this button, and a now missing matching button to form a cufflink. The button has a diameter of 11.88mm, is 2.33mm thick and weighs 1.35g.

Incomplete post-medieval silver hawking bell. What remains is the upper half of the once spherical bell. The object is hemispherical and hollow. At the top is an integral circular suspension loop. Around the circumference of the bell is a design of two parallel incised lines, otherwise the object is plain. The break edge is at a point where the lower half would have been soldered to it. The edge is ragged but not worn, suggesting damage occurred in the more recent past. The object has a diameter of 13.26mm and weighs 0.81g. It dates from the 16th or 17th century. Complete cast copper alloy thimble. This object is circular in plan and domed in section with a slightly pointed crown. The circumference of the open end has a defined rim with two parallel incised lines around. The rim is vertically split at one point, for about 2mm, though the split is closed. The open end is slightly bent out of its true circle. The crown does not have a bare circular portion, but is completely covered with hand punched dots. Complete, cast copper alloy medieval or post medieval mount. The mount is formed from a main body portion that is lozenge shaped in plan and subrectangular in section. It is pierced with a circular rivet hole and the copper alloy rivet still survives. The main body extends down into a narrowed integral shank that then curls up and back towards the main body of the mount, so that the blunt tip is touching. Incomplete post medieval button. The head of the button is spherical, being circular in plan and oval in section. It peaks at the centre of the upper face with an integral nipple. The integral shank is rectangular in section. It flares out to a circular loop, which is now bisected due to damage. The original surface of the button heavily abraded. Small patches survive with a mid green patina, otherwise exposed surfaces are lighter green. Break edges are worn smooth, suggesting damage occurred in antiquity. The button is 10.38mm in diameter, 12.92mm long and weighs 2.89g.

An Iron Age silver unit of Cunobeline dating to the early to mid-1st century AD. It depicts a head facing left and is inscribed CAMV on the obverse. This inscription confirms that it was struck at Camulodunum (Colchester). The reverse depicts Victory seated facing right and underneath is inscribed CVNO. The coin is 12.8 minimum and 13.6mm maximum diameter. It is 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.2g.

Perforated object, sub-circular stone incompletely perforated which may be an unfinished mace-head. Measuring circa 95mm in diameter and c30mm in thickness, both faces are fairly flat. The stone is smooth to the touch and appears to have been worn by water. One surface has a circular 'hour-glass' type perforation in its centre, 36mm in diameter narrowing to 9mm in diameter at its base, which does go about half way through the object. Maceheads are an implement type mainly of Mesolithic and Neolithic date.

Cast copper alloy medieval/post-medieval buckle. The frame is square and flat in section, with a slight downward bend at either end in profile. The bar is square in section and the pin is missing. The front is decorated along each of its four sides with three diagonal lines, each line formed from paired, close set parallel incised lines. The back is plain, but filing marks are visible. Lithic implement. Hazel Martingell kindly comments that this is a utilised flint blade, possibly saw-edged, probably of the Neolithic period. It is made upon transparent brown flint. The bulb of percussion is clearly visible on the ventral side. There is a small patch of beige cortex at the distal end of the dorsal side. It is 41.32mm long, 21.32mm wide,narrowing to 7.84mm, is 4.36mm thick and weighs 3.39g.
