Lower Palaeolithic bifacially worked, ovate flint handaxe. Heavily rolled, so that the number of flake scars is unclear, and stained orange. There is an area of damage on one of the faces, which would have been produced some time after the axe was made, but long enough ago for the area to have become heavily patinated, although not stained orange. From the Etwall sand and gravel layers. Length 78.16mm, width 59.58mm, thickness 27.08mm, weight 137.12g.

Silver gilt dress hook. Cast in the form of a rosette with trapezoidal loop and re-curving hook soldered to the reverse of the centre of the rosette.
