A large flint flake, with evidence of secondary working / retouch, probably dating to the later (upper) Palaeolithic period (40,000 -8,300 BC). The flake is irregular in both plan and profile. The ventral (reverse) face of the flake exhibits a small bulb of percussion; however, the wave like ripples from the blow cannot be seen. Above the bulb of percussion is a small striking platform.
