Anglo-Saxon square headed brooch bow? 29mm long and 25mm wide. The object is in a poor condition and has a dark green/black patina which may result from burning? The object is 5mm thick and weighs 17.17grams. It appears plain apart from a raised border, 4mm thick, on three sides. The object is curved almost 90o with one edge flattening out on the reverse where it would join the headplate. The fragment is very similar to square headed bows but it does not have the usual medial ridge. Early Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 33mm in diameter and 8mm thick and weighing 41.63 grams. The whorl is circular in form with a D shaped cross section. with a central hole which is 10mm in diameter. There is no sign of any decoration on any surface. The whorl fits Walton Rogers form A1, which she dates to 500-1000AD.

The pommel is made up of five rounded lobes, the central one being the highest at 24mm. The others taper in height down to 6mm. There is a central circular fixing hole in its centre. Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper alloy strap distributor, 63mm long and wide and 13mm thick. The object is in good condition with a red/brown patina and has a weight of 39.64 grams. The object is cross shaped with a central domed boss. Each arm is semi-circular in cross- section and widens to accomodate a triangular terminal containing an oval shaped hole. The terminal has rounded, domed knops at each point. The loops would have held leather harness straps and were usually placed at the side of a horses head.

A fragment of gilded copper alloy 16mm long and 14mm wide. It is in good condition with a green patina, and weighs 2.13g. The fragment is roughly T-shaped, and has a raised border c. 2 mm thick around a panel of chip-carved interlace; the interlace has traces of gilding. On the reverse are the remains of a rectangular-section attachment lug 4mm long and 2mm thick. It represents the lower end of a hanger and is roughly rectangular in shape and is uniformly 3mm thick. It has possible traces of a border made up of punched circles. The upper edge of the object has a protrusion 8mm high and 5mm wide at each edge and in the centre are the remains of the broken off shaft which was C.6mm wide.
