Mid Saxon/Late Saxon Fragment of strap-end, Thomas's Class A, Type 1, central section, both ends missing, decoration with Trewhiddle-style animal with double-strand body interlaced in elaborate knot, head with open mouth, within remains of oval frame (?body of another animal). Below this is a pair of symmetrical animal-heads projecting upwards from the remains of their double-strand interlaced bodies, 17 x >19mm. Cf. the double-strand interlace on strap-ends from North Yorkshire in D.C.M.S. Treasure Annual Report 1998-1999, 42-5. 9th century.

Late Anglo-Saxon finger-ring or earring, once with overlapping ends, now distorted and partly opened out. Hoop of circular cross-section towards the widest, central part and more angular towards the ends. Near one end are the very faint indications of two or three ring-and-dot motifs. Incomplete Early Saxon unidentified object: a strip broken at both ends, one apparently narrowing to a rounded terminal and broken across a probable perforation, the other bent before the fracture. Width 4.5m, tapering gently towards the perforated end, 4mm. On one face numerous longitudinally scoured lines. Length >27mm. Possibly a very narrow strap-end. The pale green patination suggests this is not medieval or post-medieval.

Early Saxon Small-long brooch of Leeds' square-headed (panelled) type, footplate missing. Rows of blind drilled holes follow the (damaged) sides and the top. The panel, which is defined by engraved lines along the sides and top, is entirely flat. At the top of the D-section bow a rounded notch on both sides of the front. Ancient break at base of bow. Early Saxon foot of cruciform brooch, broken in antiquity above the half-round moulding, which consists of two broad ribs divided by a moulded groove and both with pairs of engraved transverse lines. The animal head is decorated with two chevrons formed by pairs of engraved lines, one above and one below the protruding eyes. The top of the undivided muzzle is marked by a similar chevron. Length 39mm, width 17mm. Late 5th century.

Early Saxon Half-round detachable knob from cruciform brooch. Tab, on inner end to project over edge of headplate, has a median arris and is transversely chamfered at the end. Two transverse grooves on inner part, waist, single groove on rounded outer end. The main part of the empty median channel is open at the rear, and the closed part next to the tab has worn through to the rear. Length including tab 19mm, width 9.5mm, thickness 8.5mm. Late 5th – early 6th century.

Late Saxon copper alloy Winchester style strap-end, rectangular, 17 x 34mm. A split attachment end has two horizontal ribs with oblique notches bordering a rectangular panel on both faces, pierced by two iron rivets. Mid Saxon to Late Saxon Fragment of unidentified object, perhaps a brooch or censer, part of curving openwork body with angled flange or rim pierced by an copper alloy rivet. The surviving section of the openwork body comprises a horizontal band from which projects a rectangular strip between fragments of two oblique strips. The outer face is decorated with stamped ring-and-dot and there are traces of engraved marking-out lines and oblique notches along the edge of the rim. Probably 9th-11th century.

Incomplete Early Saxon brooch, head and part of bow missing. The remaining fragment of bow has two incised horizontal lines at the junction with the foot (19 x >42mm). The foot is flanked by slight swellings (similar to lappets) at the springing of the bow, after which it widens and then tapers to an expanded semi-circular terminal.
