An almost complete early-medieval silver penny of Edward the Confessor (AD 1042-1066). Radiate/small cross type. Moneyer Elfred, London mint, dating between AD 1044-1046. As North no. 816 (North 1994: pp179). BMC I, Hild A. Dimensions: diameter: 17.41mm,  thickness: 0.75mm,  weight: 0.90g. The coin is missing a very small section of its outer flan at 1 O’clock on the obverse, which extends into a crack.

A fragment of a glass Vessel of Roman date (AD 300-410). The object is the base or foot of a small vessel. Possibly a jug. It is composed of a short section of tubular stem, a rolled tubular base-rim and portions of a concave base. The material is clear with a yellow tinge. There are small bubbles visible within the fabric. Height: 14.20mm, Width: 27.47mm, Weight: 7.2g See: NCL-F44B96 for a similar example.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative Rearhook brooch with the spring, the pin, part of the rearhook, the lower part of the bow and all of the catchplate missing (the breaks are not recent). The wings are decorated with bead and reel and the low and wide triangular-sectioned bow with pairs of beaded ribs flanking a wider median rib. Mackreth 2011 CD RH 1.e. The proportion of the bow and wings is close to that of ibid. pl. 39 no. 865. Weight 4.47 g. Extant length 18.8mm. Wingspan 20.5mm (width of bow at top 10mm). AD c.43 - c.65.

Rim sherd of a medieval copper alloy censer cover with one horizontal lug or loop for a chain and parts of three perforations. Decoration consists of vertical, horizontal and oblique engraved lines. Distortion has obscured the form of the object It was probably hexagonal (Tonnochy 1937). Extant height 25mm. Thickness 2.5mm. Internal diameter of chain loop 9mm.
