Iron Age terret ring fragment; cast copper alloy segment of terret ring, probably dating from the 1st century BC or 1st century AD. The fragment has a broad, curved shaft of circular cross-section. The shaft has a single collar around it and the section of shaft which emerges from the collar is narrower and flattened.
Length 30.93mm, width (at collar) 13.54mm, depth (at collar) 11.26mm, diameter (broader section of shaft) 8.65mm, width (narrower section of shaft) 8.03mm, depth (narrower section of shaft) 4.96mm, weight 11.03g.

Early Medieval pin; fragment of cast copper alloy pin with flat, oval, pierced disc head and section of shaft. The pin is of probable early Saxon manufacture, giving a date c. AD 550-750. The base of the head is present but the arch of the ring is missing. The head is decorated on one face with 3 punched ring and dot motifs. The back face is undecorated. Early medieval pin; cast copper alloy dress pin with polyhedral head. The pin is of Anglo-Saxon manufacture and probably dates to the 8th-10th century. The head is a truncated cuboid shape, decorated with punched ring and dot decoration. Both the side faces and each of the diagonal faces has a single ring and dot in the centre, while the front and back faces each have four rings and dots, arranged in a diamond pattern. An early Medieval cast copper alloy strap end. The strap end is an elongated sub-trapezoid in plan. The side edges of the strap end are slightly convex. The narrowest terminal has moulded zoomorphic head with two prominent eyes formed by two circular cells and bordered by high relief crescents. The forehead has a decorated triangular panel. Roman coin: prpbable sestertius of Maximus (AD 235-8), dating to AD 235-6 (Reece Period 11), PIETAS AVG S C, Priestly Implements. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. p. 155, cf. no. 6; BMC VI, p. 232, cf. nos. 119-20. Although the coin is light at 14.3g, it has had circumferential loss. Furthermore, dupondii appear to be incredibly rare for Maximus - there are none in the BM collection.

Arabic coin; milled copper alloy coin with inscriptions in Arabic script. The date and origin of this coin are not known but is most likely to be post medieval or modern. The coin has a beaded border around both faces. One face has a short inscription in a small inner circle. There is another circle between the inner circle and the beaded border. The other face has a longer inscription arranged in four lines within a large inner circle. The coin is pierced with a small, circular hole near the edge, presumably to allow it to be suspended.

Post medieval jetton; struck copper alloy jetton of French origin and probable 17th century date. The token is quite worn but seems to have a cross within a tressure of arches on one side, surrounded by an inscription. The other side has an elaborate double cross with lys terminals. The edge of the token on this side is too worn to determine whether there was any inscription.

Post Medieval (1600-1800AD) cast lead alloy strap fitting. The fitting is trefoil in plan, comprised of two domed circles and a triangular projection. At the centre of these three elements is a small circular dome. The two larger domes have moulded decoration comprised of a central pellet with four pellets around it. The triangular projection is broken, and the decoration unclear. The reverse of the mount has a sub-rectangular attachment loop. The fitting is 20.6mm long, 21.7mm wide, 6.3mm thick and weighs 10.06 grams.

Post Medieval (1600-1700AD) cast copper alloy sword belt hanger. The oval body is domed, and has a double moulded collar at one end, and a single collar at the other. There is an iron rivet just before the double collar. There is a broken terminal beyond the double collar, which would have comprised of a circular loop with an irregular perforation, most likely with a smaller loop attached to the side. Medieval (1200-1400AD) cast copper alloy heraldic pendant. The pendant is shield shaped, with a broken suspension loop at its apex. The design on the upper surface is difficult to decipher due to wear, it is possibly an animal. There is no trace of enamel or gilding surviving. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The pendant has a dark brown patina, with patches of light to mid green copper corrosion. The pendant is 21.1mm long including the suspension loop, 17.1mm long excluding the suspension loop. It is 13.6mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.27 grams.

Early Medieval brooch; Anglo-Saxon cast copper alloy cruciform brooch with extensive gilding and the remains of applied silver sheet. Dated to the late 6th century by its elaborate design and the use of the Bichrome Style. Currently in two fragments as the top knob has broken away from the head plate.
