A complete Medieval-Post Medieval cast copper alloy Cauldron foot, circa AD1250 - AD1700. The foot is of the three toe'd variety. The outer two splay slightly, while the centre toe stands out prominently. There are traces of a hardened pitch-like substance on its surface, the rest of the surface has a green patina. It measures 51mm long, 28.9mm wide, has a thickness of 25.4mm and weighs 135.2g. It is in a worn condition.

A decorative mount which is now hook shaped but it is not clear whether this was the approximate original shape or whether the object has become distorted. The mount consists of a strip of copper alloy. The terminal ends are tongue shaped, the decorated end being flattened and having a hole of circa 3mm diameter, presumably for attachment. Cast copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount) of probable post-medieval date (1500-1700). The strap fitting is rectangular in plan. The overall decorative design consists of a central pellet surrounded by twelve petals enclosed with a twisted rope border, the edge of the mount is decorated with circular and oval pellets. The front face of the strap fitting has been gilded and the majority survives. The reverse face of the fitting is irregular but broadly flat, concave and undecorated. Flint flake, ovoid in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. The dorsal surface has two mesial ridges and a serrated distal edge. Both the left and right margins are angle snapped. The ventral side has a rippled surface with gloss on the right margin. The upper left margin is hinge fractured. The flint is dark grey in colour with a high lustre and a tertiary cortex. Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 63, Fig. 5.45, No. L. 102 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
