A hammered silver cut-halfpenny, probably of John (AD 1199-1216). The coin was struck by the moneyer Rauf although details of the mint town is missing. It is likely that this coin was struck at either Lincoln or Winchester as it appears to be North Class 5a - 5c (c. AD 1204-1210).

A complete, Age uncertain, cast, lead alloy, spindle whorl. The spindle whorl is roughly circular, plain, conical shape with tapering sides and relatively large, roughly central hole for a wooden spindle used by hand to spin the raw material i.e. wool from the fleece into yarn - later to make cloth. The spindle whorl is pale grey almost white coloured surface with a few blue and red corrosive spots on the slightly irregular surface. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy rowel spur (c. 1500-c. 1700 AD). The rowel box has a distinct downturned neck and is heavily faceted. One side element of the spur is incomplete. Both side elements are semi-circular in cross section and have been bent outwards roughly half way along their length. The side tapers towards the tip and meets the now incomplete loops. The spur is 110.0 mm in length, 57.9mm in width, 7.2mm thick and weighs 26.8 grams.

A nineteenth century lead Russian bale seal of St. Petersburg. The seal is a circular disc with a hole running between the two faces for the cord or string. Lettering is visible on both sides. The letters are very worn in places. Side A reads: ПД = PD (Hemp) П:ALM?ИMAH (P.ALM?IMAN) H14 Side B reads: SPB HHRH 1805 The letters SPB stand for St. Petersburg. The letters PD indicate that this was for a bale of hemp inspected by P. Alm?iman. The seal indicates that the goods have been checked for quality and/or taxed. A cast copper alloy post-medieval strap fitting. The fitting consists of a folded sheet of copper alloy mostly oval in plan but with the upper face having collared mouldings and terminating in a lys design. There is one rivet near this terminal projecting through to the backplate. The loop formed by the folded sheet of copper alooy may have served as a suspension loop for items that could be hung or secured to a strap or belt, such as a purse or small blade. The object has been gilded and form the form it the object likely dates to the early post-medieval period, c. AD 1500-1600.

A broken and poorly preserved copper-alloy Roman bow brooch of first to second century date. The brooch is missing the lower part of its bow and its pin mechanism, which was probably sprung. The wings are hollow and semi-cylindrical in shape, and would have held the pin mechanism. Moulded decoration in the form of a rib runs down the centre of the bow. The brooch measures 25.43 mm long, 19.10 mm wide, 10.79 mm thick and weighs 5.2 grams.

An incompete, fragment of a Post Medieval, forged, wrought iron, medium sized tongue horseshoe. This has a 'U' or tunnel like shaped inner edge with relatively wide frog and heels wide apart - usually used on riding horses. There are just two, rectangular shaped nail holes visible on this branch and traces of fullering, which would indicate a later date. There is no calkin. This horseshoe is broken at a worn point at the toe and has rusty corrosion all over. This horsehoe is likely to date between 1750-1815. Ref. A post medieval gold memento mori ring dating to 1726 AD. It has a central grey-purple stone or piece of cut glass in the shape of a coffin within a gold coffin-shaped setting, surrounded by an engraved skeleton on the gold band. In the internal face of the ring is the inscription "W ALLBURY OB 18' FEB 1726 CET 74" (W Allbury died 18th February 1726 aged 74) followed by the stamped maker's mark "CB". It measures 21.9mm (external diameter including stone; 20.2mm diameter without) x 17.8mm (internal diameter) x 2.7mm (thickness including stone; 1.4mm without) and weighs 3.14g.

An incomplete silver gilt annular brooch fragment or cap badge (perhaps), dating from the 13th - 16th century. It has a flat face in the form of a flower head with six petals or leaves (creating at star like pattern), one of which has broken off. These are defined by raised lines with a pellet at each end. A broken cast copper-alloy mount of post-medieval to modern date. As the mount is incomplete determining its precise function is difficult. The mount is sub-triangular in shape and has two attachment holes at its base. It is at the base of the triangle that the mount is broken. The sides have moulded tapering knotted decoration and terminate in an intricate knop.The mount measures 49.4 mm long, 40.67 mm wide, 3.36 mm thick and weighs 19.3 grams.

A fragment of a post medieval unglazed biscuitware candlestick. It is probably the base from an unfinished and misfired, broken or sub-standard candlestick; a finished candlestick would have been tin-glazed.
