Cast copper alloy trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with concave sides, an internally bevelled inside edge and widened exterior edges to each loop, and nine moulded transverse ridges on either side of the spindle hole which has been drilled into the frame. The spindle, chape and pin are all missing, but there are areas with iron corrosion around the spindle hole and where the pin would have rested suggesting that the spindle and pin were made of iron. The dark green patina survives well on all surfaces, and there are areas of black lacquer, which was used to protect the copper alloy ben…

Cast copper alloy double-looped rectangular sword belt hanger with an incomplete circular transverse suspension loop at one end of the strap bar. The frame has a narrowed, recessed strap bar and bevelled inner and outer edges on the outer sides of the loop, so that the outer sides are set at an angle. The patina on the upper face has survived well but there are no traces of black lacquer having been used which is common on these sword belt hangers.
Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar hanger on page 76, No.472, which he suggests was used on a sword belt or to suspend a dagger and …

Pressed and stamped three-part, hollow-domed, copper alloy button with a separate wire attachment loop at the back which is slotted through the back plate. The front of the button depicts, in relief, a crown above a trefoil bow suspending a horn which represents the Light Infantry.
The back of the button is very worn so that the backmark has almost gone, but there appears to be the letters for MORGAN and PLYMOUTH, so it is likely to be Cross & Morgan who were button makers in Stonehouse, Plymouth during the late 19th and the early 20th century.

Copper alloy Nuremberg stock 'Lion of St Mark' jetton. The lion is nimbate and entirely within the inner circle, including the halo, on the obverse, and the imperial orb surmounted by a cross on the reverse has no pellets, annulets or elements outside the tressure. The initial mark is a crown and the inscriptions are mostly too worn to make out, and would have been fictitious, but the obverse looks like it starts MVNA[...]MVNAOB[...] and the reverse BEOD[...] whitch matches well with an anonymous Nuremberg stock jetton illustrated in Mitchener (1988) on page 360, No.1098, which dates …

Copper alloy feudal jetton struck for the Bishopric of Therouanne in the Pas de Calais, France, with a crozier over a spade shield bearing the charge of the Three Mitres, on the obverse and a triple-stranded cross fleuretty with a central quatrefoil on the reverse. There is a torn hole from one edge, which looks like damage rather than a deliberate perforation, dating from the mid-15th century, Mitchiner 716.
This ephemeral series appears to have been issued during the politically confused period when France and England were contesting control over the region (Mitchiner, 1988, 235).

Incomplete tinned cast copper alloy spectacle or double-loop buckle frame with lozenge-shaped knops on the outer edge of each side loop and trefoil moulding at either end of the strap bar. Beyond the strap bar, the other half of the frame has broken off. The strap bar is narrowed and flush with the frame and the pin that would have attached to it is now missing. Surface white powdering and small white metal patches suggest that the frame was originally tinned.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle on page 65, No.402, which is dated from c.1550-1650.
