A late medieval clipped silver penny. The obverse has a forward facing bust with a key by the neck and the legend: EDW [---]. The reverse has long cross with quatrefoil centre, the legend is unreadable. The coin is probably of Edward IV from the York Episcopal mint (1461-83). A similar example (NLM-8690C4), also from Lincolnshire, can be found on this database.
