A complete cast copper alloy quillon dagger guard of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The guard is lozenge shaped in plan at the centre and hexagonally faceted, with short arms which are also hexagonally faceted and hexagonal in section and which flare towards their terminals. A fragment from a cast gilded copper-alloy cast saucer brooch of early Anglo-Saxon date, dating from circa AD 450 to 550. The remains of the brooch show that the front surface was decorated with a moulded 'running spirals' design. Some of the gilding has abraded away, exposing a black surface. Elsewhere patches of green copper corrosion are visible. On the reverse the remains of the broken hinge for the pin, or possibly the catchplate, are visible. The brooch fragment measures 23.64 mm long, 17.07 mm wide, 1.89 mm thick and weighs 2.2 grams.

It has three perforations at the top, two of which are cracked but not broken. Is it slightly curved, with the concave side being the inner and the convex the outer side. It is undecorated. It is in very good state of preservation which suggests that it may be of post-medieval or later date. However, then it would not be an armour plate because medieval and modern armoury parts were more often made from iron rather than copper-alloy.

A copper alloy artefact, a decorative mount probably from the edge of a Late Iron Age tankard. The object is a U shaped fitting which is semi tubular. The main part of the tube is bulbous, with a double collar at each end. The artefact has a dark grey patina with pitting which is light green. In style it is similar to SWYOR-09BA81, SWYOR-D271D5, SWYOR-5C5FB5 and SWYOR D20FD1. The function of these objects is not absolutely certain. Cast copper alloy mount in the shape of a bird, possibly an eagle, possibly dating from the Roman period, that is c. AD43-410. The mount is very worn and even though the upper surface still shows some details, most of the surface shows abbrasions and a flaky patina. The shape of the bird is retain well, however: it sits on a small pedestal that terminates in a small rivet. The bird sits quietly, with its wings half spread. An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy buckle (c. 1200-c. 1400 AD). The pin is missing. The frame is 'D'-shaped in plan and oval in cross-section. The bar is 'D'-shaped in cross-section. Its outer edge is swollen and the upper face of the frame is ribbed overall. This buckle frame has a green patina with some small areas of corrosion. 20.49 x 25.59 x 5.84mm. Weight: 5.24g.

A base from a Roman ceramic vessel; probably a colour coated beaker dating from the later Roman period. Only the base of the vessel survives. It is narrow at just 40.97mm diameter. It tapers to 35.9mm at the narrowest point and then the walls flare. The fabric is white to light grey with a colour coating of dark grey on the outer face, and of grey with red tones on the inside. The breaks are fine with a smooth feel and the inclusions are mainly flecks of black and orange-red (perhaps grog). A corroded and bent fragment of a cast copper-alloy spoon of probable Post medieval date to modern date (c. AD 1700-1850). This artefact is formed of an incomplete possibly pear-shaped bowl, tapering into an elongated and complete stem, which terminates in a circular knop. The remains of the bowl are 'V' shaped in plan (20mm long by 17mm wide), and broadly flat in section (0.65mm thick) with flared angular sides, which thicken towards the stem (to 2.75 mm). A cast copper alloy knife that is probably Post Medieval in date. It consists of a sub-rectangluar section which has ribbed decoration. At the top is a figure, possibly a long-necked bird which appears to be sat down. Detail picks out a possible beak and eye and also the tail. The design is the same on both faces. The lower have of the object is curved knife edge that tapers towards the point. The edge appears to be corroded. It weighs 14.5g and measures 120.11mm in length, 15.04mm in width and 3.31mm in thickness. A parallel can be found in Egan, G. (2005) Material Culture in London …

A fragment of a Hod Hill type of Roman copper alloy bow brooch; measuring 20.22mm in length, 9.39mm in width, 2.69mm in depth, and weighing 1.19g. All that remains of this brooch is the uppermost, right-hand part. This consists of a sub-rectangular extension angled out to the right, atop a curved length of the upper plate of the brooch. The reverse of this fragment bears a few incised lines but no obvious evidence of the pinning mechanism itself.
