A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy one-piece button (c. 1650 AD). This button is convex and decorated at the front and concave at the rear. At the front, incised decoration is in the form of a voided equal-armed cross with a ring-and-dot at the outer end of each arm. It has a ring-and-dot at the centre which is surrounded by a circle of small annulets. In each angle, close to the centre, there is a group of annulets forming a sub-triangular shape with arcs bear the periphery. The back has a central drilled shank and the hole is 2.2mm in diameter. Flint awl, ovoid in plan and pointed lozenge in profile. On the dorsal end the distal edge is retouched into an awl point. The proximal end is a sharp serrated edge. The left margin is serrated and the right snapped with adjacent flake removal. On the ventral side the distal end is hinge fractured and the proximal end has flake removal. The flint is mottled mid grey and putty in colour with some inclusions and a tertiary cortex. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 169, Fig. 71, No. 3 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

Incomplete and heavily abraded cast copper alloy purse bar of late Medieval to early post Medieval date. Approximately one half of the purse bar survives with the break at the point where a suspension loop between the two halves of the bar would have been located. The bar is sub-oval in section, the outer terminal is abraded and has a truncated circular projection visible in cross section which would have had a separate fitting acting as a 'stopper' or end-cap, which is now missing. Flint pebble flake, rectangular in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. The dorsal side has cortex on the distal end and left margin. The proximal end is snapped and the right margin notched. The ventral side surface is rippled. The left margin is retouched and notched and the right is roughly serrated. The flint is mottled pale cream grey with a secondary cortex of dark cream colouring. Butler (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 131, Fig. 55, No. 4 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

A broken and incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped buckle frame. The frame is formed of a pair of oval loops with moulded decoration on their edges. There is an expanded, sub-triangular moulding at each end of the pin bar. This is decorated on the upper surface by three incised lines, the central straight, the others angled. There is a similar moulding on the extant outer edge, slightly larger. This pin bar is trapezoidal in cross-section. Around it the basic pin survives in situ bent upwards at its tip. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (1600-c. 1700 AD). The object is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. This is one end of a mount which has an irregular break, probably about mid-way along its length. In plan, the main body of the mount tapers and then flares slightly towards three horizontal parallel ribs, the ends of which project outwards. A knapped flint tertiary debitage. The debitage is knapped from a dark grey coloured flint. The ventral surface has a small bulb of percussion, a large bulbar scars and concentric rings. A cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle frame of medieval date, complete with pin. It is oval with an expanded outer edge, both in width and thickness, and narrowed and offset pin bar. Around the latter is a thick wire pin with rounded tip, bent upwards slightly at the tip. The outer edge has a central shallow transverse groove bordered by a pair of incised lines to each side. The frame is bevelled slightly both externally and internally. The frame now has a fairly even mid-green patina.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman 'dolphin' brooch, comprising the bow and the remains of a catchplate-the wings have broken away and been lost. The brooch has been decorated with a pair of grooves running down the centre of the bow. The object has suffered extensive corrosion, with some pitting and losses from the original surface. The brooch probably dates from the early Roman period (around AD 40-80, though Guy de la Bedoyere discusses the use of these brooches throughout the 1st and 2nd centuries (p.120).

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch dating from the later first to second century AD. The brocch fragment consists of the wings and part of the upper bow, which is decorated with vertical moulded ribs both down the spine and to either side on the wings. The spring is fully enclosed and only the very top of the pin survives.

An incomplete cast copper alloy unidentified object of uncertain date and function. It is flat in section and has a sub-lozenged shaped body, with a rounded perforated terminal. It is red in colour with a few patches of light green corrosion. It is in good condition, with an old break on the loop in the terminal. It measures 35.04 mm L x 9.56 mm W x 1.73 mm TH and weighs 2.64 g. This resembles Roman amphora shaped strap ends, however, it is simplified in comparison and no parallel can be found.
