A worn and corroded Post Medieval 'Rose/Orb' Jetton, c. late 16th-c. early 17th century AD. 'GOTT ALLEIN' type, struck by Hans Krauwinckel II (fl. 1586-1635 AD) at Nuremberg (Mitchiner 1528 var.). The reverse legend reads: GOTT ALLEIN DIE [EERE SIE], which means 'To God Alone the Glory'. The precise reverse legend is not noted in the main reference work but is comparable with two jetton recorded on this database: SF-65B2D1 and HAMP-3A7C23.
