One edge of the frame bears six notches, the opposite edge, which is incomplete, is narrowed and bears at least three constrictions. Suggested date: later Medieval, 1400-1500. Copper alloy buckle. Cast D-shaped rounded section buckle frame with zoomorphic decoration in the form of beast snouts grasping either end of the narrowed strap bar. The beasts are represented deftly but schematically, with a slight constriction between snout and eyes, and a further slight hollowing between head and ears. An off-centre notch on the frame may indicate either a made or worn pin rest. One face of a Medieval copper alloy sheet buckle plate. This plate is rectangular, with an extended end, and is flat in cross-section. At the extended end, there is a central notch which is flanked by two rectangular projections (which would have folded in on themselves). There are four rivet holes (one at each corner) and two copper alloy rivets are preserved. Remains of iron on the back of one of them.

A cast copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c. 1600-1700. The buckle is double-looped wth frames that are trapezoidal in plan, with the narrow ends meeting at the crossbar and flaring out. The outer frames of each loop are decorated with a small knop at each corner and an outward swelling of the frame across the centre, with an incised line down the length of the outer frame. The pin is missing, and the buckle has been folded into a slight V-shape from the crossbar.
