A slightly worn 8th-century probably base silver early-medieval secondary sceat of Series M, uncertain sub type, uncertain English mint (c. 720 - c. 725 AD; cf. EMC 1020.0364 = Mack 1973, ref. 364 for unusual obverse).
This coin has some patches of green copper-alloy corrosion product on both surfaces suggesting that the silver is debased.
