The rim sherd is from a collared vessel of estimated diameter 180mm; both sherds could be from the same vessel. Suggested date: late Medieval, 1350-1500. These sherds were kindly identified by Sandra Firth and Hazel West of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Weight: 43.78gms.

Schist, possibly Norwegian Possible Hone fragment. Small fragment from a mullion of schist. The angled end and part of one side appear smoothed; other surfaces are probably broken. If the identification is sustained, this could be a small piece of a medieval whetstone; the English market for hones was dominated by Norwegian schists through the Medieval period.
