Copper alloy Plate. Fragment of cast plate of 1.3mm thickness with three round-section studs projecting. It is speculatively suggested this may be a fragment from a supplementary grip for a shoe sole, working in a similar way to a hobnail. Copper alloy could be used where dust presented the risk of explosion were sparks to be struck from iron shoe fittings, as in powder magazines, but also, in an agricultural context, in grain stores. A complete pressed copper alloy late post-medieval to modern cruciform mount. The mount is in the form of a cross crosslet with a copper alloy rivet through the centre and long circular sectioned shank projecting from the reverse. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The mount is 30.8mm long, 30.5mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.4g.

Five copper-alloy fragments of what appear to be from the same object, possibly World II ordnance. The 'rim' is rectangular in cross-section with the next extending flush with the interior. The rim is silvered or tinned but otherwise undecorated on the top and exterior. Two pieces of rim survive and these appear to join, but they dot form a circle, unless the current angles are somewhat distorted. An incomplete fragment from a cast copper alloy 'fob' seal of modern date probably later 18th or early 19th Century (1740-1850). The seal matrix is composite, being formed from a clear glass intaglio set into a machine pressed body. The metal body is broken and damaged, the upper part including the loop is lost. A complete cast lead customs seal of modern date. The seal is roughly circular in plan with a rectangular cross section and is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by a hole running across its diameter. The hole would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag. The front is decorated with a stamped design of the crowned Dutch shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland with a sword in its right paw. The reverse appears undecorated though is very worn.
