Object type: DIE
Broad period: MODERN
County: Somerset
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
Home made lead die, probably of 19th century date. The die is a cube with two opposing convex sides and four flat sides. It is unlikely the die would settle on the convex sides leaving four options. On three sides a letter has been scratched by hand: T, P and L and on the fourth side is a large indent. It is 18.7mm across the convex sides, 15.2mm by 15.9 across the others and weighs 36.21 grams.
Home made lead items are hard to date precisely but the style of the lettering suggests a relatively modern date.
