Pressed and stamped three-part hollow domed gilt copper alloy button with separate soldered attachment loop, embossed with the Royal coat of arms, consisting of a crowned garter with a lion to the left and unicorn to the right, with the legend HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (the French phrase meaning: "Shamed be he who thinks evil of it") within the Royal Garter. A sherd of Alice Holt/Farnham grey ware. Pale buff-grey reduced fabric with abundant, well sorted quartz sand temper. The exterior surface dark grey to silvery grey and has several horizontal and diagonal burnish lines. A body sherd from a jar. The Alice Holt/Farnham industry was active from the 1st to 4th centuries, but the slightly metallic finish suggests this may be the later product of the industry (i.e. after c AD 200 - 250) It is hard fired and wheelthrown. Pressed and stamped three-part hollow domed gilt copper alloy naval button with separate soldered attachment loop, embossed with the crown of George III to William IV c.1760-1837 (Meredith & Cuddeford, 1997, 42) over a the 'foul' anchor, where the anchor is entangled with a cable, within linear and ropework borders, and on a background of parallel transverse incised lines. Cast copper alloy hollow-domed, die-cut, two-piece button with a soldered circular attachment loop at the back. The front of the button depicts the 'Ordnance' shield (Ivall & Thomas, 1974, p.42) with three artillery guns, one above the other, surmounted by a band with three bezants in a row, alternating with piles of shot. A foot, the catchplate and part of the bow of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch. The bow is sub oval in cross section, is undecorated and tapers towards the foot. The catchplate survives on the reverse of the foot, the catchplate is broadly triangular in plan with a central perforation. The artefact is 27.55mm long, 10.95mm wide, 2.75mm thick and weighs 1.88 grams.

An incomplete bent copper-alloy Iron Age/Roman La Tène III, Nauheim derivative brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The spring is incomplete, two coils survive and have been bent out of shape, the remainder of the spring and the pin are missing. The solid, plain bow is rectangular in cross-section. It rises up from the head before being bent inwards on itself c.15mm along its length. The bow has a max width of 3.85mm and tapers towards the foot which is 1.05mm wide. The catchplate survives and has been bent.

Cast copper alloy two-piece domed button with soldered attachment loop. The face of the button is very worn and hard to make out but the back mark is clear: .FIRMIN & WESTALL. STRAND which operated in London from c.1794-1812. The letters within the seven-pointed star of the Order of the Garter, surmounted by a crown, appear to be D G which stands for Dragoon Guards, with an X above them which would stand for the 10th Regiment which became the Prince of Wales' Own Hussars in 1806. An incomplete Late Iron Age/ early Roman (AD 20-80) copper- alloy Colchester one-piece brooch missing a section of the catchplate and part of the spring. The wings are flat and rectangular. No decoration is visible on the bow which tapers towards the tip. Behind the wings is a spring which consists of six coils, part of the tapering pin survives. The catchplate has been bent slightly, it is broadly triangular in plan and has two broadly D shaped perforations adjacent to the foot.

A Medieval to post-Medieval leg from a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel (c. 1250-c. 1650 AD). The object is sub-circular in cross-section and has a small portion of the body of the vessel at one end. The other end is in the form of an irregular break. It has a mid-green patina which is overlain in places with a black substance, probably consolidated soot. 54.64 x 17.42 x 16.49mm.
