The pin is made of a circular (2.4mm diameter) cross sectioned shaft that has a slightly pointed tip and a slight waisting possibly from corrosion along its length. A fragment from a probable Post Medieval skillet handle. The fragment is rectangular in cross section and sub-rectangular in plan narrowing from a transverse break (13.4mm wdie) to a slighly rounded terminal (c. 8.2mm wide). There is a slighty curved aperture at the break suggesting there may have been a circular hole here at one point. The object has a medium green patina. The fragment is 23.1mm long, 13.4mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 8.19 grams.
