A cast copper alloy open topped thimble or sewing ring dating from the medieval period, AD1400-1500. It tapers slightly from the base to the top and is marked with vertical rows of hand punched, circular holes. There is a single, narrow groove running around the base of the thimble and another at the top. It has a dark green patina. It is 18mm in diameter at the base and 13.4mm high. It weighs 6.2gm. A copper alloy Roman coin: a radiate of Claudius II Gothicus (AD268-270), Annona reverse. Part of the flan has broken away between 11 o'clock and 3 o'clock on the obverse. It is 17.7mm long, 15.6mm wide and 1.4mm thick. It weighs 1.33gm. The Ms and Ns are made up of vertical strokes only. Compare Sear Volume III, number 11319 which is similar but with a different obverse legend.

Though quite well struck, the small size of this coin suggests that it may be one of the contemporary copies struck between AD355 and AD361. The bust is also quite simplistic.

An incomplete, cast copper alloy finger ring, probably of Roman date. Only part of the hoop, the shoulders and the bezel are present. Both of the breaks are worn and patinated and happened in antiquity. The parts of the remaining hoop are narrow and have a flat oval cross-section. There are two narrow, flat rectangular shoulders with slightly rounded corners that step up into the flat bezel. The bezel is rectangular and set transversely to the hoop. A sherd from a hand made (not wheel-thrown) ceramic vessel of unknown date. The sherd is a wall sherd and is strongly curved, suggesting it is from a small globular vessel. The striations in the clay are not uni-directinal as in wheel thrown pots, and instead, there are deep finger marks showing where clay has been pushed, perhaps into a mould? A cast copper alloy early post-medieval hooked tag. The tag has a circular openwork body with holes (many full of corrosion) arranged around a central equal-armed cross pattern. The rectangular loop attachment is missing but the hook opposite is present except for the tip. Compare BERK-A0F141 which cites Read (2008); Class E Type 3 (no.370). It dates from about AD 1500-1550.

A complete cast copper alloy Post-Medieval buckle frame dating from about 1600-1720. The buckle frame is sub oval in plan and double looped. It has rounded ends and bi-concave sides. It is otherwise undecorated. Examples of similar buckles may be found in Whitehead (page 70, numbers 440 and 441). The pin is missing. The spindle is iron and the plate is attached; it is sub triangular and very thick, but the knop at the end is missing.

A cast copper alloy, double loop, trapezoidal buckle with openwork frame, dating from about 1620-1680. The outer edge of each loop has a fleur de lis protrusion and is pierced with two rectangular holes. There are ovoid knops on the angles of the frame and a protrusion at either end of the strap bar. The pin is missing. See Whitehead, Buckles 1250 - 1800, p. 85, No. 534. A matching example is SWYOR-20E9A1.

The fabric is a warm grey colour with a fine break and the inclusions are poorly sorted white quartz pebbles and grey flecks.
